DEVELOPING LEADERSHIP QUALITIES

DEVELOPING LEADERSHIP QUALITIES

Specified as the activity of understanding, being familiar with, being conscious, and vicariously experiencing the sensations, ideas, and experience of another of either the previous or present without having actually the sensations, ideas, and experience fully interacted in an objectively specific manner. That is a mouthful. For some, it connotes a simply psychological feedback. But in reality, compassion is an important ability for being an effective leader.

It should be kept in mind that there are some that recommend compassion leads to bad choices. For instance, a Yale teacher says compassion misshapes judgment.

My view on compassion is that it’s no much less essential compared to other management attribute. Compassion can’t be used to the exemption of sensible thought. But omitting compassion from your management basket of abilities would certainly be a severe mistake.
